I have tried to capture this shot before and was stopped by security. This time I stayed in my car and was able to get the image I was looking for. The clouds and sky were pretty amazing for about 3 minutes, then it was gone… This is a 3 exposure HDR processed in SNS-HDR Pro and Lightroom. The Church on the left is Wieuca Baptist Church and the building on the right is the Ritz Carlton Residences.

This is a shot of the swimming pool at the Ritz Carlton Rose Hall in Montego Bay Jamaica. The hotel is behind me and just past the pool is the beach and Caribbean Sea. Since I didn’t have my tripod with me, this was a lesson in shooting handheld HDR. I think it turned out…thanks to quick exposures.
After settling back in after our anniversary trip to Jamaica, I wanted to show you some of the pictures I got while there. We stayed at the all-inclusive Ritz Carlton at Rose Hall in Montego Bay. It is a stunning property, not huge, but visually impactful. <– is that not a word? Let’s use it today anyway. Here is a shot of on of the cabanas they have set up on the beach. Each chair has a little blue flag on it, and when you raise the flag someone will come by and take your order. Fortunately, we were there at a very slow time so they were on the case if your fruity drink started to melt. Most of the pictures in this series are HDR in case you couldn’t tell… I’m pretty pleased with the way they turned out, especially since I didn’t have a tripod with me. This week, Triangle was the subject for the shutterboo weekly photo challenge on Flickr. While in Montego Bay Jamaica, I took this shot of the hammock where I spent several hours getting my peace and quiet on. The triangle doesn’t jump out at you, but it’s nestled into the fabric of life, just live everything else in Jamaica. We had an awesome trip celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary. We stayed at the Ritz-Carlton at Rose Hall which is pretty fabulous. Of course the people are amazing and always happy to ensure your stay is perfect. I’m sure during the summer season, this hammock is a hopping place and a hard spot to secure, but in September, it’s the most peaceful and relaxing spot in the joint.
